- Ayub Khan is the son of veteran actor Nasir Khan and actress Begum Para. He is the nephew of superstar Dilip Kumar. His mother’s sister Rukhsana Sultana is the maternal grandmother of actress Amrita Singh.
- Since his parents were actors, they wanted that any one of their three children must join the film industry. His brother and sister both refused to accede the film line, so he had to fulfil his parents’ expectations, so he entered the field of acting.
- He started his career from movies, but he did not get any recognition. But he was appreciated for his work on the small screen even though in supporting roles.
- Ayub Khan married his college friend Niharika Bhasin. However, they never met after college as Niharika went for further studies to the US. Both married different people. After 11 years they met again in Mumbai and got married to each other at that time both were out of their marriages.
