- Colin is the son of late Zimbabwean cricketer ‘Laurence Leonard de Grandhomme.’
- His great-uncle ‘Bunny de Grandhomme’ aka ‘Hilary Laurence de Grandhomme’ also played for ‘Rhodesia’ (now known as Zimbabwe) cricket team.
