- She was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh in a mediocre family as his father is a police officer and mother a housewife.
- She aspired to become an Air Force Pilot as a child.
- While she was in her second year of engineering, she got some modelling projects and therefore, she left her studies in-between. She also auditioned for Heropanti at that time but got rejected.
- Disha stepped into modelling and grabbed the 1st runner-up of the 2013 Ponds Femina Miss India, Indore title.
- In 2015, she made a kickstart to her career with a Telugu film titled Loafer, along with Varun Tej. She played the role of a girl named Mounika who runs from her marriage.
