- Harvik’s father was a decent wicketkeeper-batsman himself. When he saw his interest in cricket, he took him to Bharucha Cricket Club at the age of six to nourish his batting skills.
- He started his cricket career by playing in the Saurashtra Under-16 cricket team. He played his first series in the 2013-2014 Vijay Merchant Trophy in which he scored 62 runs.
- In 2016, he was selected to play in the Challenger Trophy tournament and later on, he was picked for the 2016 Under-19 cricket world cup but instead of him, Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan got selected.
- Harvik is a regular wicketkeeper.
- In February 2017, he made his List A debut against Hyderabad in Kalyani, West Bengal.
- In July 2017, he got selected for India’s Under-19 cricket team and played his first match in the Youth Test against England at Chesterfield, England in which he scored 89 runs in the first inning.
- In December 2017, he has been chosen for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
