- Javed Jaffrey is the son of veteran comedian, Jagdeep Jaffrey.
- Jaffrey made a huge impact on his debut, with the film Meri Jung (1975); his portrayal of a negative character was widely appreciated.
- As an anchor, his TV shows named Videocon Flashback and Timex Timepass that aired on Channel V became instant hits in the early 90’s.
- Jaffrey is not only a judge but also the co-founder of India’s first dance reality show- Boogie Woogie.
- The song “Mumbhai,” from the film Bombay Boys was conceived, written and choreographed by Jaffrey. It remained at the #1 spot on the charts for 6 weeks.
