- Papon hails from a musical background as his late father and mother both were musicians.
- At a very young age, he started getting training in Indian traditional as well as classical music.
- He always dreamt to perform at various music festivals all over the world.
- He sings almost every type of music like folk music, ghazals, electronica, etc.
- In 2007, he founded a folk-fusion band named as ‘Papon and The East India Company.’ The band includes a Drummer, a Bassist, a World Percussionist, a Guitarist, and a Keyboardist.
- The band gave live performance at almost every Indian music festivals like the ‘SAARC Bands Festival’ in New Delhi, the ‘Kovalam Literary Festival’, the ‘Eastwind Festival’, ‘NH7 Weekender’ in Pune, the ‘October Fest’ in Bangalore, etc.
