- Rao Ramesh is the son of late actor Rao Gopal Rao.
- Initially, he wanted to become a photographer and spent maximum time in Chennai’s American and British libraries to study photography books.
- He later assisted K. S. Prakasa Rao to gain more knowledge about industrial photography.
- He also applied to American Universities to study special effects photography but after the death of his father, he was too busy in managing family affairs.
- He started his acting career with the Ghantasala Ratna Kumar’s TV serial, but the serial was shelved.
- He then got a breakthrough role in 2002 in the Telugu film ‘Seema Simham’ as Hema’s brother.
- He is a big fan of ‘Industrial Light & Magic’ (ILM), a division of Lucasfilm production company.
- He is also an avid reader and Cingireddi Narayana Reddy is one of his favourite Telugu poets.
