Profil dan Biodata RJ Sayani

- Amin Sayani’s brother, Hamid Sayani, introduced him to All India Radio in early 1950s.
- His polite style of addressing the crowd with “Behno aur Bhaiyo” is still treated as the most melodious announcement in the Radio history.
- He participated in English programmes on All India Radio for ten years.
- His mother was an activist and he assisted his mother, Kulsum Sayani, in editing, publishing and printing a fortnightly journal for neo-literates, under the instructions of Mahatma Gandhi.
- He has also worked in the marketing department of Tata Oil Mills Ltd. during 1960–62 as Brand Executive – mainly for toilet soaps: Hamam and Jai.
- He was the one who initiated the export of Indian radio shows and commercials since 1976. He has exported to USA, Canada, England, UAE, Swaziland, Mauritius, South Africa, Fiji and New Zealand.
- He also produced a 13-episode radio series- ‘Swanaash’ in the form of plays based on actual HIV/AIDS cases, including interviews with prestigious doctors and social workers.
- He has produced, compered over 54,000 radio programmes and 19,000 spots/jingles since 1951 in India & abroad.
- In 2016, after a sabbatical, he announced the promo of Akshay Kumar starrer -‘Rustom’.
