Kontroversi	• In 2015, Arya said that when he asked Vishal how come he was releasing his film, Aambala, Vishal gave a controversial reply, "Yevvana irundhaalum naan vettuven." It went viral on the internet, after which Vishal clarified statements by his dear friend Arya to calm it down. • He has been alleged of dispraising the Tamil film industry in an international platform at an event arranged by a Malayalam network in Dubai. But, he clarified it by saying that Kollywood is the industry in which he has worked for initial part of his career and it is also the industry in which he has invested his own money. Therefore, it is illogical that he would make wrong comments about the Tamil film industry.
