- Deepak started his career with theatre and some odd jobs such as a space seller, front office manager. At that time, Deepak Tijori, Aamir Khan, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Gowariker, Vipul Shah were part same theatre group, college, and locality.
- Milind Soman was the first choice for the role of Shekhar Malhotra in ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ (1992), but he quit after few days of shooting and was replaced by Deepak Tijori. Moreover, Akshay Kumar also auditioned for this role but he was rejected.
- For around 3 years, he struggled a lot to get acting opportunities and only managed to do small roles. During this struggling period, he nearly gave up on films. Fortunately for him, Mahesh Bhatt gave him a break in ‘Aashiqui’ (1990), after which things got better for him.
- He has a production company called ‘Tijori Films.’
- His daughter, Samara, was kidnapped at the age of 13, but was later released.
- In 2006, he participated in ‘Bigg Boss 1’ but was evicted after a month.
