- Evan is the co-founder and CEO of the mobile app Snapchat that he created with Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown in his college days.
- Snapchat was his college project which was initially named Picaboo, by Reggie Brown, but it didn’t appeal the investors. Also, Brown didn’t like the idea of sharing an image that disappears after sometime. So, Murphy and Spiegel decided to part their ways with Brown and renamed the project to Snapchat with some more features.
