- Raghu was born along with his twin brother, Rajiv Laxman.
- There is an interesting story behind his and his brother’s name, there used to be a superstitious lady called Venkata Subamma in Andhra Pradesh in 1974, who told his grandfather that after a year you will get blessed with twin grandsons, Ram and Laxman.
- He was a different personality in his younger days as he was a shy kid who was bullied in school and used to stay in the shadow of his brother, Rajiv.
- When he was 24 years old, he made his mind to change it forever, and since then he is seen in an aggressive mode.
- He started his career as a show supervisor in MTV channel’s various shows like: MTV Love Line with Malaika Arora Khan, Video jockeys (VJs).
- He was behind the treatment or execution of MTV Roadies which was initially executed as an experimental project in 2000. Though, it was not his concept, but he played a pivotal role in taking it forward.
- In 2004, he gave an audition in Indian Idol Season 1, but he made a mess of it and wasn’t selected.
- Despite getting rejected in Indian Idol, he didn’t give up. He sung the theme song of Roadies called Manmaani which was composed by Agnee Band. He was even nominated for The Best Singer award in the 2012 Gima Awards for it.
- He and his brother Rajiv left the MTV Roadies show in 2014, but they still work for MTV channel.
- He is the co-owner of a company called Monozygotics.
- He is a loyal supporter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
- In 2013, he published his autobiography called Rearview: My Roadies Journey.
