• Sharad hails from a middle-class family with roots in Kolkata. 

• He was also fascinated towards modelling, and at the age of 20, he won the title of ‘Face of the Year-Kolkata.’

• His life took a turn for the better when he won the title of ‘Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj’ from Kolkata division in 2004.

• After doing his first TV serial, he took a 4 months break to learn acting skills from New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.

• He rose to fame with his role of “Sagar Pratap Singh” in Zee TV’s show ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann,’ where he played the role of a mentally challenged person.

• His relationship with co-star Divyanka Tripathi lasted for 9 years, which came to an end because of marriage commitments.
